As a family owned business, the staff here at puddlejumpers is like one big family. We're a tight-knit group who loves working together - and nothing makes you love your job like loving the people you work with.

We recently welcomed Heather to the team - some of you may know her as Emily's little sister! She's been a blast, and we couldn't be more excited to have her on board!

Shortly after Heather joined us, we had another position open up at the store, and weren't really sure where to start looking for the right person to fill it. Despite some skepticism, we decided to give Craigslist a shot - and it TOTALLY paid off! We interviewed Kaitlyn and Tori (among a few others), and couldn't bear to choose just one - so we hired both!

These three girls are amazing, and we know everyone will love them as much as we do. They've done a fantastic job so far (they even made it through their first Sidewalk Sale intact!), so stop in, say hello, and tell them what a great job they're doing!

Believe it or not, Puddlejumpers has been in business for 23 years. We started in Dover, moved to downtown Exeter (which felt a lot like coming home), and have been here for over 13 years. Luckily, we absolutely LOVE what we do, and we plan on being here for many more years to come. We'll always work hard to be that cute children's shop around the corner, with a great selection and a smiling face behind the counter. We just hope you guys love us as much as we love you!

So, it really means a lot that everyone pulled together and voted us Best Children's Clothing Store in NH!!

We were flattered to be nominated, and we can't tell you what it means to us to win! Thank you!!!

You all know Delaney, who's worked with us since she was in high school, through college, and who we excitedly announced got married last October. Delaney's always been very pretty, but if you've been into the store recently, you may have noticed that she's developed a sort of....glow.

Well, that's because she's expecting her first baby!! We're so extremely excited for her! Delaney and Tyler can't wait to greet their new arrival, due this October. Next time you're in the store, be sure to wish Delaney congratulations!

Delaney, we love you, and we're so happy for you!

You know when you re-arrange the furniture in your house, and every time you walk by it, it's like a breath of fresh air? Well, stop into our store for a big, refreshing breath! We've completely re-arranged our displays, added new furniture, and we think it looks fantastic!
Got a stroller? You can go anywhere! We created lots of space to wheel through any section of the store.
You can now see more merchandise than ever before, making shopping super easy; it's a snap to find exactly what you're looking for!
Not only do we have a new look, our Spring collections are in and they look fantastic (especially on the new displays). We have all the best Easter Basket fillers, and some wonderful Easter outfits for boys and girls. Despite the yucky snow outside, Spring HAS sprung at Puddlejumpers. You wont want to miss out on all the great things we have to offer for the season, so hop on down and say hello!

Ya know how people nominated for awards like Oscars or Grammys say something like "It was an honor just to be nominated"?   Well, sure , that's nice, but let's face it......there is nothin' like winning!  A friend of mine asked me to visit www.bestofnh.com and vote for his business as the best in New Hampshire in his category.  His really is my fav biz in his category so of course I said "Sure!"   New Hampshire Magazine does this every year and it's cool....a feather in the cap of local small business.  The Cholatier next door wins in their category all the time and I've always been impressed. Anyway, while I was there I decided to take a peek at who was nominated in my busiess category and WHOA!  MY BUSINESS WAS THERE!!!  Puddlejumpers as been nominated as the best children's shop in New Hampshire....and my Mother didn't nominate me...I don't think.  So sure, it's nice to see my shop's name on the list of nominees, but wouldn't it be cool if puddlejumpers was named the Best Children's Shop in New Hampshire for 2011? don't forget to vote!

Last weekend, mom and I braved the miles of aisles at the Jacob K Javits Center in NYC for the New York International Gift Fair! Now that we're back with a huge stack of catalogs, and our feet have had time to recover from all the walking, we can't wait for you guys to see all the amazing new stuff we found!

The Javits is HUGE, with over 2800 exhibitors and 3500 attendants to this show alone! It's a great place for new and upcoming companies to show off their stuff, while allowing tried-and-true favorites to touch base with their customers. It's always fun to see the cool displays each brand has come up with, and the new products coming from our favorite vendors!

We spent two full days roaming the aisles of exhibitors booths - we saw some old friends (Zutano, 3 Sprouts, Skip*Hop, and others), and found some new favorites. There are some really cool new items that will arrive in the store just in time to make it into your Easter baskets. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say this; if you thought the 'Magic Socks' were cool (SUPER cool), then hold on to your hats! The new stuff will start arriving any day, and will continue to trickle in for the next two months.

We got a sneak peek at the new prints from Zutano, and they were FANTASTIC. I'm a huge fan of the owl print myself, but there's a new fox print for next fall that's just gorgeous. 3 Sprouts is at again, with a new raccoon bin, a new walrus towel (it's awesome), and a new storage caddy. The caddy has a handle, and 3 pockets along the back - it's not only great for diapers, but craft supplies, books, or toys-on-the-go!

The Gift Fair is always a good time, and it's fun to go back to NYC for a visit. We always make sure to visit the Brooklyn Diner for dinner (ironically, it's not located in Brooklyn), and avoid Times Square! Now it's time to hunker down for the rest of winter, and start getting geared up for spring - it will be here before you know it!

Well, it's the night before the night before and my daughters and I are plotting our day at puddlejumpers tomorrow.  Every Christmas Eve Day Hillary plays Christmas trivia with customers and hands out treats to those who answer correctly....or not.  It's a fun day and we are happy to help you select your last minute gift purchases  and wrap them up beautifully for you to present.  If we won't be seeing you tomorrow we want to say Merry Christmas and thank you for another great holiday season here in beautiful downtown Exeter....it's good to be here.
